If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
This is a stupid question. Mud is what you play in as a little kid, and what you get on your shoes when you are on your way out to dinner. Clay is one of the four divisions, based on particle size, desicribed by the USDA Soil Classification System. Duh!
