Introduction	Rachelle Wood as Birdspoke explores the obsessive life of the birder through craft-design and one-off pieces of objet d’art. Stitched, modeled and drawn, with a hawk-eye for detail, birds of all ilk are studied and reconstructed under a firm hand of old-fashioned craft-sensibility. Hatched four years ago, Birdspoke is the result of an itch to work more playfully and to save the debris of materials accumulating on the studio floor from landfill.
