| Introduction | I grew up in Marin County, but left in late 2001 for the Sierra Foothills, where I met and subsequently married my darling husband Mark. After many years of residing in a wonderful home with an awesome view, I decided that there was no place like home and yearned to go back to Marin. Mark was raised by the coast in Southern California and after living in the foothills for over 30 years was ready to move back to the coastal area as well and agreed that Marin was a great choice for us. But Marin County comes with a price and both Mark and I like to find a bargain. That required some creative thinking and problem-solving, which I love, but Mark... well, not so much! For economic reasons, along with the final reward of getting exactly what we want in a home, we decided to buy a "fixer-upper" in a lovely and quiet area near the outlying waters of San Francisco Bay.
