Interests	Safety and industrial hygiene, toxicology, hiking, NW US history, old machines (with wheels or wings), the Spanish Civil War, history of flight and motorsports, what's to eat.
Favorite music	"Sounds of the Isle of Man TT" motorcycle-race audio recordings made by Stanley Schofield Productions from 1958 through 1968. The best recording is the 1967 Junior (350 cc) TT race between Mike Hailwood on the Honda six cylinder and Giacomo Agostini on the MV Agusta three cylinder. These have been re-released thanks to Duke Audio.
