Introduction Glenn has been a director of product development with Dow Jones & Co., responsible for the development of the company's taxonomy and metadata as well as the Dow Jones Insight media measurement solution. He has defined products for PR and corp comm, design metadata approaches and spread the word about how to best use them. He has been focused on usability, information retrieval, searching, text mining and taxonomy-related issues over the past several years. He has also worked in Factiva's Content Department, where he lead a group focused on classification and taxonomy. And in the years preceding the creation of Factiva, Glenn worked in the Editorial Department of Dow Jones where he had positions with the document classification team; writing, editing and producing online news coverage (for such products as Dow Jones Business Center on America Online); defining new search and Web products; and overseeing a team of classification specialists. Glenn is graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., with a degree in communications. Quirky Career Highlight: Glenn once wrote headlines for the historic news "Zipper" in NY's Times Square.
