| Introduction | This is Dawn, and I’m the writer of a vegan food/lifestyle blog named Vegan Moxie. I’ve been vegan for five and a half years, have been living in Tacoma, WA for a little over three and have been a Washingtonian for nearly five years. I’m a native Southern Californian who moved to the Northwest after graduating college and I feel that I’ve definitely found my home here, despite my nomadic tendencies, (many think I’m crazy to make the move I did, but I think I was supposed to have been born here). I’ve wanted to start a vegan blog based on living and eating in Tacoma/the South Sound for years because I felt that it’s an area that’s underrepresented in the blog world but know that there are many other vegans here and many who visit wondering where they can eat. It’s also an amazing place to live filled with people who love their city! I’m hoping that I can share what I’ve learned over the years about the area and its vegan resources in addition to recipes, events and info about all of the great businesses and people in the City of Destiny. |
