| Introduction | Shola Yissau is a British designer who graduated from studying Design at Goldsmiths College, University of London. This multidisciplinary course allowed her to gain many different skills to complete a diverse range of projects. Shola lives by Paul Rand’s quote “everything is design, everything!” This has motivated Shola into seeing the possibility of design in every object, colour, style, and project. From the mundane to the extreme, there is a creative design development waiting to be found. Recently Shola has been working freelance producing illustrative images. Having been featured in newspapers and magazines, she has been working on creating drawings and vector arts expressing her day to day life, what she sees, what she likes and what she loathes. Shola Yissau believes that design should not only be created straight from the computer, but should start from paper and an ink pen; to draw, to scratch out and cut and glue images, gives an innovative beginning to create something new and different. |
