| Introduction | David and I met in high school in 2002 and got married on May 24, 2008. We bought our first home in 2009 in Upstate South Carolina. It was a brick ranch that we updated and renovated until we sold it in summer 2017. We did a ton of work to that house and changed it so that it was nearly unrecognizable from its original state. People would often ask about our projects and later I wished that I had done a better job documenting what we did, especially since David did almost all of the work himself. We moved to a new house in June 2017 and have plans for some new projects and making it our own. We plan for this to be our forever home, so I want to do a good job documenting our house project journey.
We also have two wonderful girls. Amelia was born in May 2013 and Eliza Jane was born in March 2016. They bring us so much joy. David is in the computer/electrical engineering field and I am a middle school counselor. This blog is a way of documenting our lives as we make this house our own and in it build memories with our wonderful girls. |
