Introduction	As a Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, I have complained of 50°F temperatures but lamented warm Christmases; I have mercilessly killed innumerable giant, flying roaches and cursed the tropics for harboring the enemy; I have taken the ocean for granted and jumped for joy at the sight of a landfill I momentarily thought was a hill. Contrary to popular opinion, Miami is not paradise; that would be boring. This is a blog about my Miami – unromanticized, but cherished all the same.
