| Introduction | I am a 6-year-old Thoroughbred gelding named Lyric. When I was a little colt, my name was registered with the Jockey Club as Tohamah, and that was my name until I met my Lady, Q, on September 18, 2009. As a two-year-old colt, I left my home farm in Le Sueur, MN and had a go at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN. Not my favorite time period in my life, as it was here that I slipped on some wet concrete in the aisle and I went down hard, hurting my left stifle joint. That stupid injury still bothers me some days. Luckily, that's not an every day occurrence and Q is doing everything possible to help keep me free from aches and pains. She loves me. It's mutual. After the Canterbury Tales, I went back to my home farm and basically just hung out and recuperated for about four years. On September 18, 2009, I met my Lady, we fell in Love and my former barn mom said that I was hers to keep. Q renamed me Lyric, moved me to the town she was living, in Mankato, where I first lived with a group of Peruvian Pasos and then in Q's backyard. In mid-October 2010, I moved to my current home near my Lady in Minneapolis. This is our story. |
