| Introduction | I'm 34. I sustained a spinal cord injury when I was 15. Dr's said I would never walk again and I believed them at first. My right side is stronger than my left. I have been to several physical therapy programs over the years. Two comments that stick out to me are two different therapists at two different places telling me: 1 - I hate to see you leave, I really believe that you are one of those people that could walk out of here. And 2 - You are nowhere near where you can be. Those comments from those therapists are so important to me because they confirmed the potential that I knew that I had. Not because I'm in denial by any means but because I know that the potential is there, it just needs hard commitment. That's all for now. |
