| Introduction | The structure of the natural world is vital to my work. I am fascinated by the delicate and complex origins of life, finding inspiration in its most hidden depths to the vast corners of the universe. In my drawings I attempt to create a sense of wonder and sensitivity, recapturing an essence of repetitive line, colour and pattern found within natural form. My main sources of inspiration have come from found objects, such as rock, shell, wood and bark - I have enjoyed observing and recording the texture of these organic forms, whilst recreating them in a way that enhances their natural beauty. |
