| Introduction | I am the wife of an amazing man and the mother of two beautiful children. My daughter is my rock and my sanity, and my son is my heart. We are a family that is learning to cope with our children's mitochondrial disease. Our faith is in the Lord that he will guide us in our journey and heal Samuel and Lauren along the way. We have already witnessed a miracle, as God returned Samuel to us after he went into septic shock, had complete lung failure, and experienced DIC in January 2009. He spent 9 days on ECMO as his body healed and after being told that he had no hope for survival, we have our little boy at home and doing well. We live by the motto, "Expect a Miracle". |
