About me

Gender Female
Location Paris and Nice, France
Introduction I grew up in a Canadian prairie city known for its giant mall. When my family moved to Paris for two years while I was growing up, I discovered patisseries and never looked back. My early efforts at making croissants and eclairs were total flops but that didn't stop me. At 26 I left my job as a food writer at a daily Canadian newspaper and moved to Paris. After ten years in Paris, where I wrote about restaurants for a number of guidebooks and magazines and founded the company Edible Paris, I now spend most of my time in Nice where I teach Provençal cooking in my home. I spend a few days every month in Paris keeping up with restaurants, conducting food tours, and sampling the finest patisseries and chocolates. With a charming French husband and food-loving four-year-old son, I consider my life just about perfect. The photos on this website (the good ones, anyway) are by me or my husband, Philippe Landry.
Interests Good food, good wine, good friends

If you were a cannibal, what would you wear to dinner?
