| Introduction | I write YA science fiction and fantasy, but I read just about everything... except horror--my imagination is far too overactive and I just don't sleep well with the light on. My background is in the natural sciences and I love to be outdoors, but I also love history, mythology, religion, space, martial arts, vegan cooking.... I enjoy working with children, the elderly and the underprivileged, because they enjoy being alive without focusing too much on the business of living; plus they tell the most amazing stories. I'm married to a brilliant, compassionate veterinarian, and have a very loud, daredevil of a twelve-year-old son. We live in a large, crooked old house with eleven furry family members on Cape Breton Island. |
