| Introduction | 9/11 left me stunned and lonely. My wife was gone on a weeklong bicycle trip. I had no one to talk to, so I wrote an email to everyone on my list. (I have posted that first effort, see first diatribe.) Some of them encouraged me to write more and I have. Some have encouraged me to blog. I will. Whatever interests me might be a subject. I consider our national political landscape to be of compelling interest. I hope you are moved by what I write. Pat Chandler |

| Favorite Music | I like almost all types of music, some stuff within each type isn't music though. I don't like anything played too loudly. |
| Favorite Books | I mostly read non fiction. During the last few years I've enjoyed Jared Diamond's and Carl Safina's works and for fun Christopher Moore. "1491" is another good book about the Americas before first contact. |
