| Introduction | Welcome to The Wooden Folks Blog ! We are excited to be here ! My husband and I have been making folk art for 28 years now. It all started with a wooden cow on a pedestal we made for a Christmas present. My husband cuts out all of our wood and I hand paint each piece,then give it a time worn look. We sell our items at a few local craft fairs and wholesale shows. In 2001 we were asked to make an ornament for the White House Christmas Tree! We were invited to the White House to see the tree, it was a very memorable experience.
