| Introduction | My name is Jennifer and I live in Friendswood, Texas (also known as the flattest place on earth.)I am married to another runner, Bruce. We started running marathons in 2004. At some point I decided that was just not challenging anymore. I ran my first 50K at Sunmart in 2006 and I was hooked! Trail running was awesome. In April of 2007 I ran my first 50 miler, American River, Sacramento to Auburn, CA. Bruce was my own personal SAG and cheerleader. It also made him want to run trails. He completed his first 50 miler in February at Rocky Raccoon. After a minor injury that resulted in surgery (ok maybe not so minor), I returned to running in late July of 2007. I have not wanted to run on a street again. I am in the process of training for my first 100 mile race. Target race- Rocky Raccoon 100 in February of 2009. I have several races planned to use as training for the big 100. My main goal is to finish the 100 and not be injured. After all, I will have other races in mind at that point. :-) |
