Introduction	This is my 4th year teaching in the Gardner-Edgerton School District, however is my 9th year teaching in a special education preschool classroom. I spent my first 5 years teaching in the Olathe School District in an Early Childhood Autism Classroom. I recieved my Bachelor degree in Human Development and Family Life: Children with Autism and Psychology from the University of Kansas in May 2002. I also earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education from KU in December 2005. In November 2010 I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! I love teaching little friends! There is never a dull moment in my classroom! I have 8 nieces and nephews who I love to pieces! Sean, Aubrey, Patrick and baby Brody live in Grandview, MO and Zachary, Tyler, Kayla and baby Braden moved back to Overland Park this summer from Albuquerque, NM. I'm thrilled to have them closer! I spend a lot of my spare time at Jazzercise. I just started taking classes in January 2011 and am hooked! I also spend quite a bit of time with Ty...a little guy I have done home therapy with for 7 years.
Interests	I spend a lot of time preparing for my classroom and the needs of each of my students. In the evenings I can most often be found running home programs for some families I've worked with for several years. When I'm not focued on these activities I enjoy time spent with friends, jewerly making, cake decorating, spending time with my nephews (Zachary (5), Tyler (3), Kayla (4 months) and Patrick (3 months).
