| Introduction | Hello, My name is Karen, and I love to play in dirt! I'm new to gardening and farming, and I love to tell stories. I hope that you enjoy reading about my journey into a healthier and happier life as I navigate the "Sub-Urban farm life." Additionally, as a recent graduate from CSU Sacramento in 2012, as well as furthering my education by obtaining a Master's degree in social science (2015), blogging has become an electronic portfolio of my journey into a career as a photojournalist, as well as a self sufficient role model to my family and friends.
