| Favorite music | 1 giant leap. If you haven't seen this movie, that feeling that you have that something is missing from your Life? This movie is one of those missing pieces. this movie changed the way I experienced music as an american. it gave me permission to begin to try to put All of my beliefs into everything i do (still a beginner on that one...). it gave me permission to live my life out loud through the music that nourishes all of my soul.... prince. emancipation. third disc. "style" changed my life and played alone in my car for a year. it's that good. radiohead. more than a genre. 2+2=5 .some music inspires me, some i listen to when my heart is full, some when my heart breaks, some music has a definite period in my life, some progresses with me as i go like peter gabriel, joni mitchell, sting, mark isham (among a hundred others).... this album rewired the way i think, talk, feel. for two years it was the only thing i could listen to on a daily basis. by the time i realized what it had done to me, i had changed, and i liked it. sepideh vahidi. her voice is like the sound my soul makes when the wind blows through it. recent influences on me in relation to my music.... radiohead at the hollywood bowl (thank you marie!) [how did they do in rainbows live?!!!], imogen heap, loring jones, k dub shine, tcheky karyo, aaron brooks (his beats are solid like gibraltar), karsh kale (this man never sleeps), anoushka shankar, trixie reiss, jamie catto, gaz cobain, winter laurel mullenix, sophy blondy, Soulfège,.... ...a certain dancer that just blew my mind at the burning man decompression show- she showed me how people will dance in the future... my nephew jason who has listened to more proofs than an eardrum should have to bear.... my moms. emily and shirah. my dads. leonard and cb....vaughn d scott, paul filinson, ethan allen, josh woodlander, bryan bowman.... ...and as the observation of something changes it... ....i am now influenced. by You. |
