| Introduction | I grew up in a strong evangelical Christian home in South Texas. I grew up working hard on a 500 acre farm. Mainly cotton, but also grain sorghum, corn, citrus, and a dozen forms of vegetables each year. In school, I survived on playing tennis and acting. I married a cute young girl from my college town and she has loved me and forgiven me for 37 years. She has also given me 5 wonderful children.Through the years, I have read water meters, loaded steel trucks, mowed grass along highways, hand-nailed 82 foot bowling lanes, been a volunteer missionary in inner-city Houston, and sold cars and hardware supplies. |
