| Introduction | I came to a point in my life where I realized I always wanted to have a family, not necesarily the whole wedding, 2.5 kids or husband dream but simply a home with people I loved and felt safe in. In my late 20's I started building my own family, in a different way, from other people's left behind pieces. So now I find myself a single parent/guardian of Little Queen, often referred to as "LQ". My lil-brother, originally from a foster care mentorship program, I'll call Zeke who is now 19 in the independent living program. He's not mine on paper but he's mine in my heart. Then there Rhino, my 15 y.o., a disrupted placement, currently faraway in a group home. **Due to funky people involved, unspecified locations and names.** |
