Introduction Before moving to Victoria I lived in Toronto for 25 years, and have worked as a librarian, CBC radio commentator, economist, senior public servant, banker and management consultant. I have also volunteered extensively in the not-for-profit sector, including work with shelters for abused women. I published my first novel, Power Failures, in 2007. In 2008 I attended the Victoria School of Writing summer program, where I worked with Stephen Galloway. I recently won 2nd prize in Victoria’s Night on the Town competition for my 350 word story entitled ‘Blues for a Bridge.’
