| Introduction | My hope for this site to do a much better job than I have up to this point (okay trying again after 1+ years in absentia) of keeping everyone up-to-date with pictures of the kids as well as posting informative, educational and sometimes just plain neat stuff about Down syndrome as well as random stuff I find groovy or cool. Dustin and I were married May 15, 2005 and welcomed our baby girl McKayla on February 1, 2006. She proved to be a sweet, fun and easy baby with big blue eyes and bright red hair. The temperament often associated with the hair color did not present itself until she was about 18 months, thus fooling Dustin and I into thinking we were either extremely wonderful or extremely lucky parents!! Just 2 weeks after McKayla celebrated her second birthday, we welcomed her baby brother Landon into the world. Landon came along with an extra chromosome which sent Dustin and I on a quest to learn more about Down syndrome and what it may mean for Landon and our family. We are happy to report that Landon was fortunate to bypass the major health issues and he is happy (mostly) toddler adored by all who meet him. |
