| Introduction | I am an artist, exhibit mostly on Maui, enjoy different processes and experimenting with alot of different mediums, painting, drawing, printmaking, encaustic and fiber art. I'm outdoors most of the time and am intruiged with plants, discovering ways to extract pigments and obtain the fibers for weaving into sculpture, pounding into kapa cloth, handmade papers and binding into books. Photography is another love of mine, I prefer analog over digital, and working with 120 film, plastic and pinhole cameras and printing with light sensitive materials. I also love to garden and I have a horticultural business on Maui. I've been very fortunate to have participated in some environmental restoration work here in Hawaii, also known as the extinction capital of the world. Getting to know and work closely with the endangered plant species in this extremely fragile environment has been very meaningful. |
