| Introduction | During the summer of 2005 our medical school sponsored a 6 week medical mission to Tanzania, Africa. The two of us ended up working in the Shirati Hospital near Lake Victoria. At the time we didnt know each other but this is where it all began. Many more details in between but we ended up getting married once on June 30, 2007 in the Colorado L.D.S. temple and the other time in Hawaii on the beach at The Orchid on July 5, 2007. Why two weddings you ask? Twice the fun. Anyway, we are now doing residency. Anika is in her second year of Psychiatry and Dave is in his third year of Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic surgery. Charlie is now 3 years old and the gem of our lives. |
| Interests | Well lately we have been doing alot of beach biking, boogie boarding, and enjoying the sun of california. Otherwise we love skiing, mountain biking, golfing (although only when Dave wins-which is rare), and spending time with family |
| Favorite movies | Well Anika is absolutely obsessed with the new movie "Enchanted" and loves to sing the songs incesantly and believes thats how women should be treated. Dave loves Dark Knight and most Will Ferrell movies |
| Favorite music | We like Josh Grobin, anything from the 80's (only Anika), love Jack Johnson, Michael Buble, did like Blink 182 but fading there, something corporate, the one hit wonder Timbaland, and of course Dashboard Confessional |
| Favorite books | Right now Anika loves "The Other Boleyn Girl", "The Giver", and anything by James Patterson. Dave is obsessed with "An Inconvenient Book" by Glenn Beck, "A long way gone" by Ishmael Beah and "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama |
