| Introduction | Perhaps the first thing people notice about me is my height. I've been mistaken for Jane Smiley at a fancy horse event. I was flattered. I have a hard time picturing myself. I will turn 75 on this 2017 trip, but I feel much younger. I actually don't feel any particular age. I think I finally feel "grown up", but only just barely. I have been doing a unique form of art that I call Polage for 50 years. It involves making colorful images with colorless materials and polarizing filters. I continue to be excited about its possibilities. I keep finding new ways to make it expressive. My "partner in crime", artistic collaborator, that is, and my "Technology Muse" is my husband David Comarow. Our relationship has revolved around my art for over 43 years and is probably part of the glue that makes us happy together. He is endlessly encouraging and candidly critical... I hope this blog will deal with a few of the important things in my life, mostly Art and Exercise. The art feeds my soul and the exercise fuels my body. Complementary and both important to my struggle to age gracefully. |
