Introduction The Open Space Gallery Project has been a venue for Amateur and Professional photographers/Artists to exhibit their work in a public Green Space. The Project began touring the gardens of the Brooklyn Queens Land Trust (BQLT) in 2006. The official introduction of the gallery to the BQLT gardens was at the BQLT Founder's Day Celebration at The Magonolia Tree Earth Center, 677 Lafayette Avenue, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. "Images of the Gardens" of BQLT was installed at the George Washington Carver Art Gallery. Project was funded by Open Space Gallery Project and sponsored in part by BQLT. AWARDS: NYSCA Award in 2003 and 2006 administered in Kings County by the The Brooklyn Arts Council, Inc. Honoree Award from Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz in 2004. Green Award from Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz and Congressional Certificate of Recognition from Congressman Ed Towns in 2010. Project was awarded The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust Presidential Award in 2014. Project has been sponsored in part by Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Inc, Optimum Design, Inc. Exhibition Prints, Inc. and Streets are Saying Things, Inc.
