| Introduction | I'm a 36 year old English Teacher from Allegany County. I've taught for 15 years and held a variety of positions in my teachers' union. Most importantly, I was a building rep for 9 years. That experience informs everything I do as an advocate for public education. I am unashamedly pro-union and pro-teacher. My family and I recently moved from Charles County. I am an avid reader, writer and amateur political pundit. The quote you see under my title is the closest thing I've got to a philosophy of life. It's what I hope to have on my epitaph. I have a wife and two sons, 13 and 4. We moved so that we could afford for my wife to stay home with our youngest. I miss my colleagues from Southern Maryland but am having a great time in the mountains. |
