| Introduction | Baetty is my name and friends use to call me Ibet, which you can pronounce /Ibɛt/. I work at a vocational college in Padang of West Sumatera, Indonesia. I am interested to develop English for broadcasting needs in order to enable students to interact in English in the field of radio and TV broadcast and pursue PhD studies on this issue. I started teaching in 2004 at a language center of a state university in Indonesia at the same university where I completed my bachelor studies on English, majoring Linguistics. This job had contributed to my academic development and lead me to my postgraduate studies in Applied Linguistics, TESOL in the School of Languages and Linguisticss in University of Melbourne. I teach English to mostly university students, either for EAP or ESP for Engineering, Science, Nursing, and Business. I started my teaching by applying the Communicative Approach and started to apply the technology into my teaching. Here I am now learning how to teach through the technology. |
