About me

Introduction Labor Left intends to make a contribution toward building a militant mass working class movement in the Madison area and beyond. We start with an admission that organized labor in this country is in deep trouble and that variations on business as usual provide no way out. That we need to return to the traditions and world view of those who built the militant unions in the past. And that we cannot get there without critical discussions among labor activists. We will be offering news and analysis from various socialist, communist and anarchist sources and links to articles and sites of several left organizations. But, your involvement is critical. If you’re on this list, it’s because you’ve been identified as a labor activist. Since this is a blog format, at any point you can simply click on “comment” and share your comments with everyone on the list. By nature, the material and discussion you’ll find on Mad Labor will ruffle some feathers. But, frankly, the U.S. labor movement needs its feathers ruffled.
