| Introduction | Sally's early career went from working in advertising to becoming Managing Director of her own domestic agency in London. When she married in 1974 she helped her husband run a pub outside Oxford until, ‘fed up with trying to be nice to drunk people’ they decided to pack their bags and go to live on a smallholding in the south-west of Ireland. She has been a regular contributor to Country Living Magazine and Woman’s Weekly,plus writing several short stories and humorous articles. Self-Deficiency,The Real Truth about Country Life’ was published in hard-back in 1989 and in paperback in 1990. It is now available for free download at: www.self-deficiency.com. Her new book ‘Butterfly Summer’ will be published free online later this year. She still lives in County Kerry in Ireland. |
