| Introduction | Well, I've been a literary critic since 1997 - before that, I taught in the English Dept at St Andrews University for two years. I have a PhD on James Joyce and feminist theory, for my sins. I published my first piece of fiction in 'Secrets', edited by Janice Galloway (Polygon) in 2005, with a story called 'Dear anne', which was shortlisted for the Scotsman/Orange Short Story prize. I published another short story, 'Aschenputtel 08' in 'Cleave' edited by Sharon Blackie (Two Ravens Press) last year. Next year, my book on literary partnerships, 'Between the Sheets: Famous Literary Partnerships of Nine 20th Century Women Writers' will be published by Overlook Press, New York. |
