About me

Gender Female
Industry Non-Profit
Location Detroit, Michigan, United States
Introduction Mom, Sister, Friend, Gardener, Activist...I'm old enough to understand that nothing and no one is perfect and that's what makes life interesting, awesome, challenging and at times, frustrating. When you focus on finding the positive energy in every situation, nothing can steal your joy. I am the mother of two beautiful children who continue to teach me everyday how to live in the moment. We are part of a wonderfully diverse, progressive Catholic community (yes, there is such a thing!) in Detroit and live in a neighborhood where, thankfully, the oft-quoted African proverb "It takes a village to raise a child" are not just words. I'm not sure what my blog will be about-- whatever catches my attention long enough to write about!!
