| Introduction | I am originally from a small village in Saddleworth at the foot of the Pennines but have lived in Pembrokeshire, Wales, for forty years. I have an MA in Creative Writing with the University of Wales Trinity St David's College, Carmarthen. BA (Hons) in Literature with the Open University, a Diploma in Drama from Swansea University. I have had short stories, plays, reviews and articles, published throughout the UK and have won several awards. My Howarth Family Saga takes the reader from 1911 to 1969, through the age of the suffragettes, the horrors of the trenches, the Black and Tans, the Lancashire prison camps of World War II and post-war rural Wales to the challenging liberation of the late 60s. Tragedy and happiness find their place on a world stage and behind domestic closed doors. |
