| Introduction | "Pikin" is the word for "child" in Krio, the dominant language in Sierra Leone.
Here you can read stories on my life working in children's rights at an NGO in Freetown, Sierra Leone, one of the most underdeveloped countries in the world. I will be sure to write all kinds of stories about water shortages, heatstroke and malaria, buffered by tales of children dancing on white-sand beaches. I've never been more physically uncomfortable or more happy in my entire life. |
