| Introduction | Coal River Valley Sustainable Living Group. We are a group of local residents who are interested in reducing our ecological footprint by sharing ideas and knowledge, liaising with local government and strengthening community links. We set up the Richmond Community Food Garden in 2012 in conjunction with the local primary school and the residents at the Centacare Units in Richmond. We continue to have a mentoring role but since 2017, Richmond Garden Club is now working with the school. Other interests include energy efficient housing, renewable energy and all aspects of gardening, cooking and food preserving. We are interested in developing local walking and bike trails and promoting transport alternatives such as electric vehicles. We meet at the Centacare meeting rooms in Torrens St. Richmond on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. New members are welcome.
