| Introduction | this is what my journal looks like, stolen words of poetry and songs that paste the insides of my heart like a collective propaganda, because my life is not my own. i forfeited long ago to this cause i chose; i chose. because you see these words are apart of me. they are not ripped off for they hold me together. they are what i want to become, believe, behold. for it is in these pages that i am found, that you are found. oh, the beauty of these notes. for in them is my story and your ever present glory. my struggles, my success. my joys and my cries. my journey documented by the things that inspire and question, and lead me back to you. a glimpse of what within battles and shines. if it weren't for the privacy of this book, i would like that my life was blank. i only borrow these words because i cannot express the beauty of the present, and so i write what others say best in hopes that my life will say it better. |
