Introduction	I have been teaching for 24 years. What makes me a good teacher is that I was probably the worst behaved student at Ridgecrest Elementary in Oklahoma. I was the "Curious George" that experimented with a magnifying glass and ignited paper in my desk with the sunlight coming through the window. I was the student that made the teachers' hair go gray just by being the overactive, but creative student. I was the student that was a challenge, and THEREFORE, I get "IT". I understand what my kiddos are thinking and what makes them tick. If I'm not exploding something in my classroom or setting something on fire to captivate their science interest, then I'm just not having a good day teaching. I challenge the kids while being upbeat, but somehow I'm known for having the BEST classroom behavior. I'm the "strict" teacher that is fun. Is that really possible? I LOVE teaching with a passion. I might not be able to change the world, and I might not be a "Teacher of the Year", but I know that I give 150% every day because my students are definitely my future. They belong to ALL of us!!!

Favorite books	"The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" by C. S. Lewis is my very favorite. There are so many hidden meanings inserted by this Christian novelist. It mirrors the life of Christ and his ressurection.
