| Introduction | I'm in the first quarter of the Infectious Disease ANP DNP track. Originally from upstate NY, I went to college and worked as an emergency room nurse in Atlanta, GA. For the last few years, I've served as an aid worker overseas, providing primary health care and responding to outbreaks of disease such as cholera, measles, and kala azar. I was so glad to find an infectious disease specialty at UW, since I'm a confirmed ID geek! Being new to the area, I'm still finding my way around Seattle, and the maze-like Magnuson Health Sciences Center. When I'm not in the library, I like to cook and take walks around Green Lake - dodging joggers at every turn. I'm getting married this summer, so if anyone has any suggestions for reception sites, I'm all ears! In the future, I hope to be able to continue to work with underserved populations, both in the US and abroad. |
