| Introduction | Hello, my name is Penny Thompson and I am the chief executive of Brighton & Hove City Council. When I started as chief executive in Nov 2012, I made a commitment to write a blog for staff every week, which I've maintained. My purpose was to share something of my days and job and to give the chance for feedback and questions as part of my commitment to openness. I am now putting the blog outside of the council systems so that all staff, partners and interested others can have look. Many staff do not work at computers and I particularly want these staff to be able to be included. I hope you find it interesting. I'm sorry but comments can only be made through our council intranet. |
