Introduction I’m the Chief Sales Officer at The Corporate Playbook LLC, www.thecorporateplaybook.com The Corporate Playbook was created by athletes for athletes our mission is to connect former athletes with growing organizations. Through our innovative website we have career coaching tools, career search tools, Direct Placement opportunities & personalized profiles/networking opportunities (think Myspace meets Monster.com but for athletes only). My experience also includes: Recruiting for Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, finance, pharmaceutical and advertising industries as a Director of Development with JobPlex, Inc. I’ve also served as a District Sales Manager for Yellow Book, USA. My focus was on hiring, developing and mentoring. Working on the hiring sides of a sales organization, I bring a tangible real world perspective to the challenges faced by today’s hiring mangers. I'm a graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Communications. As a football letterman at the UofL, I was appointed to the athletic director’s honor role, while winning back to back conference championships and competing in four bowl games & a recipient of the Johnny Unitas Scholar Athlete Award.
Interests Anything to do with athletic events (as both a spectator or participant, but preferably participating)-Books, preferably business topics i.e.-Career Development, Leadership, Business Trends, Marketing, Business Books focused on collaboration & web based initiatives. If I'm not reading a business book it will be a history book (huge Ben Franklin fan, no doubt the world's greatest entrepreneur, statesman & improviser.) Jogging- Love It. Not for physical benefits (because my knees ace horribly) but for the mental clarity a nice jog will bring. Knitting (just seeing if you are paying attention) And hands down my greatest interest lies in helping former collegiate & professional athletes make that transition out of sports & into their careers!
Favorite Movies To many to list so I'll give you my favorite directors & actors in general. Anything by Tarantino (even the lame vampire movie "From Dusk till Dawn") Love Bill Murray- all the way from the "Caddy Shack" days to "Rushmore" & "Lost in Translation"... I also enjoy Wes Anderson movies. (a little offbeat but most are pretty interesting I really like "Bottle Rocket" & "The Life Aquatic" I also like several of the films coming out of Focus Features- really liked "The Constant Gardner" Alright I know it's juvenile & immature but I love Adam Sandler movies (you can also go ahead & put Chris Farley into that group & go ahead & put the Farrely Brothers in the mix while were on F's & go ahead & put the Coehn Brothers in the mix while were on Brothers & while were on Brothers "Band of Brothers was a great mini-series" The list goes on..........
