| Introduction | Aloha! People often look at me like I’m crazy when I complain about living in Honolulu. Yes, it’s a beautiful place…to vacation. Island living is a whole different experience. In my younger days I danced with the All American Drill Team, performed in the Hula Bowl in the late 80s, was part of the Disney Light Parade in Orlando, Florida and traveled the Midwest in dance competitions. I finally settled down, got a job, started college and received my AA, BA and MS. It took 13 years but I finished! I fell in love, got married, did some traveling to China, Hong Kong, Australia, Tazmania, Canada, Mexico and now have a beautiful daughter. I love being a mommy. I hope to let others know what it's like living in Honolulu. The good, the bad and the ugly. Keep checking back for helpful traveling tips, things to prepare for if you're planning a move to islands and my general complaints about living in paradise. |
