| Introduction | "This is an opportunity to share some of my favorite things with you." Tom Wills, 63, is a Warren, Ohio, native still trapped in his hometown. He retired with much pride as a newspaper editor in Warren and in Youngstown, Ohio, after 40 years -- an important job that no one understood and people eventually began to ignore. Now, ART LETS HIM BREATHE. Tom comes from an artistic family, with his aunt and late mother being oil painters -- and his engineer father being able to draw straight lines without a ruler. His art abilities were dormant since high school, however, as work and family demanded his time. But in 2008 he drew a dog, and then another, and a few cats, and finally some human faces. That was more than 500 pieces ago. Most recently he has dabbled in watercolor paintings and architectural renderings. He is married 40 years to Patty, and they have two grown daughters (Emily and Kara) and just one grandson, Anthony. Now Tom simply does special projects by request, as the walls and closets of friends and family are overflowing with art.
