| Introduction | The authors of this journal are a mother and daughter team. Grace is soon-to-be fifth-grader who has congenital heart block. She has been on a pacemaker since birth--currently on her 2nd pacemaker and expecting her 3rd one soon. She refuses to let a pacemaker define who she is or what she becomes. Cheryl is a full-time graduate student working toward her M.A. in English, Technical and Professional Communication. We are a military family who move frequently, adapt easily, love deeply and laugh heartily. |
