| Introduction | These past 9 months I have shared some very personal stories of caring for my dear Mother. She went home to be with the Lord yesterday and my postings will just become a bit of history. I hope that the blog will still offer insight for people considering bringing their Mom home to live their last months with loved ones. It's not always possible, we had an ideal home and living situation which I realize is rare. But the satisfaction of knowing we did our best to make her as drug free as possible and happy as she could possibly be is well worth any sacrifice someone would need to make. *********************************************************** In a few days my mother will be moving in with my husband and I. June 09'. I will be keeping updates on this journey here on this blog. I feel connected with others when I read their stories, so I hope our story can help others as well. Michael and I have 4 grown children. 2 Married with two grandchildren. I am a cancer-conqueror for 7 years. NHL Stage III. I work from home marketing XanGo. We know our lives are about to change in a big way with taking on the responsibilty of a loved one with dementia. |
