| Introduction | I’m learning the ropes of motherhood… I just quit my eight-year career as a graphic artist to work with the most demanding boss I’ve ever had: Bright Eyes. I’ve traded in the 10-hour workday and 1.5-hour commute to be bathed in spit-up and buried in dirty dishes — all the while learning how to half-way function with barely any sleep. And, while hubby and I have always had to watch our pennies, going down to one income in 2013 makes for a wild ride. Seeing as I just completed a bachelor’s degree (English) through Ottawa University, damn: I guess my life-long dream of having a writing career HAS to take off now… |
