| Introduction | I am a professional counselor, my third career. I had a career in the American Theatre before meeting my husband. I am curious about people and how they decide what to reveal about themselves. Blogging becomes a way of self-disclosure with anonymity, a contradiction in terms. My passion is educational justice. In my opinion, there exists a great disparity between the education of the upper class vs. the working class. I want to devote my life in helping convince young people that facility with language develops thought. The power to change, to advocate for a better life for one's self and others remains connected in the verbal ability to express powerful thought as literacy becomes the precursor to social justice. I hope to engage with others who have the same views in supporting young people. |
