| Introduction | I've just graduated from a small women's college in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Equine Facilitated Therapeutics and English, Literary Studies. I've barely given the ink of my diploma enough time to dry: I'm on my way to earning an MA and, eventually, a PhD in English. These are my thoughts, frustrations, anxieties, and triumphs that I encounter as I stumble along the path to the Ivory Towers of academia. In other news, I love folk rock, used book sales, trail rides, and flannel. I look awkward in clothes and I keep my jewelry in an old cigar box. Sometimes I carry an owl call with me in my purse, just in case. I call it the hooter. |
